Acronym: Learning 2.0
The Learning 2.0 research project is a joint project by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (A2) and the Joint Research Centre IPTS in Seville. The objective of the project is to assess the impact of web 2.0 trends on the field of learning and education in Europe and to see where Europe stands in terms of using web 2.0 innovations in the domain of learning.

Most companies are confronted with fast changing learning demands and the need of new concepts. Companies very much overestimate and overinvest in formal training programs, while missing out the opportunities to foster more natural and informal learning processes. For informal learning to flourish it is crucial to develop flexible mechanisms which support this kind of learning, while avoiding the drawbacks that coincide with informality. The Microtraining method is being developed as a mechanism to support predominantly informal learning activities.

The primary goal of this project was that students from two different countries shared information about certain topics (history, population, city council, urban area, monuments holidays, etc.) relating to their towns. The students made conceptual maps about these topics and so they have checked that they have some characteristics which are common and others which are different. The name aBRAZAdos means Braga and Zaragoza hugged each other.
